Our story.

Co-founders CANDICE DURHAM (she/they) and DICKEY COMEAUX (he/him) began consulting right as the COVID-19 virus was making its way to the US. Within months, what were originally just “side hustles” became the catapult for entirely new lives. 

In the time since, Dickey has grown a successful academic and EdTech consulting portfolio and Candice launched Imagine in 2021, a human-centered executive search and talent consulting firm.

 

They've both built teams, made mistakes, and learned countless lessons. Most significantly, they've begun to finally break generational curses by paying off debt, building savings and investment portfolios, creating opportunities for their communities, and operating with more professional independence and freedom.

In 2022, Candice and Dickey begin designing the B Suite first, codify that work and, now, replicate it en masse for other Black and Brown people.

Today, The B Suite fills leadership gaps with flexible, high-impact talent by connecting organizations with diverse, pre-vetted executives who are ready to lead. But our work is bigger than placement.

 

We are growing a trusted network of diverse talent with access to high-quality, flexible leadership opportunities backed by transparent standards, strong support, and real allyship.

 

We believe flexible leadership can do more than solve short-term business needs. It can change who gets access to decision-making power, who earns at the executive level, and who gets to build wealth without sacrificing wholeness.

 

We intend to build bridges between diverse talent and opportunity, changing the face and future of staffing.

The story is personal. The system is intentional. The future we are building is one where diverse talent leads, earns, and thrives by default—not exception.
